A weird thing to ask you might say and surely I should know but I don’t for sure. I was just told my pancreas was inflamed, to not drink alcohol and to reduce fats and if pain gets worse go to the hospital.
Touch wood I’ve never been that bad but even googling this is a minefield and some things are just contradictory. They say acute should resolve itself after a few days/weeks and that if it goes on for longer than three months it’s chronic!

I still feel like I’ve done since I was diagnosed and with hindsight I’ve felt full and burpy for several weeks that I can recollect before the diagnosis so does that mean I’m chronic. Even if the pain goes I’ve always felt full and it seems everything I eat is a problem. I had thought I had it sussed as I was still having some things I shouldn’t but realising if I spaced it through the week I wasn’t really feeling any worse and at times I felt better but that all seems to have gone.
So now thinking more about changing I’ve been reducing my caffeine and having soup a few evenings and I’ve discovered jelly pots so I’m having them. Which does seem to be helping although I was still a bit naughty over the weekend had a couple of treats that I shouldn’t have had.
Also we have taken to cycling to the village and hoping this will help with my fitness especially breathing which in turn will help with running.
